In the window

Every day your target market is walking past your window

So how do you bring them into your place of business? High Bright LCD Displays provide dynamic, eye-catching content which can be updated regularly. Our High Brightness Window TV Screens combine the sunlight viewable benefit of a printed poster with the dynamic, eye-catching technology of a digital display.

Our high brightness displays are intended to operate in very high ambient light conditions. With brightness ratings as high as 5,000 nits, the screens can be installed in bright locations such as shop windows, even those in direct sunlight, and are able to overcome the competing ambient light.

Brightness

How a screen's brightness is measured

A screen's luminance, or brightness, is measured in nits. A nit is more scientifically a candela per square metre (cd/m²), but display manufacturers generally list nits in their spec sheets. The higher the nit figure, the brighter the display. Most indoor LCD displays are 300 to 350 nits, which look sharp and clear in a dimly lit room.

For an equally vivid picture, an outdoor display must be at least 400 nits, in a shaded, sheltered spot or facing east with only morning sun. A screen facing west must be at least 700 nits to appear bright and readable in the direct sunlight that can occur at certain times of the day.

Screens of 2,000 nits are called high brightness or extreme brightness displays, but they are not the brightest: outdoor flat panel displays go up to 5,000 nits. All extreme and ultra extreme bright displays should also have a dimmer, which automatically reduces the screen's brightness at night to levels that are more comfortable to view.

Built for the window

Made for constant use in an outward facing window

A commercial grade panel with a lifespan of 50,000 hours, and high quality components, mean that the display can be in constant use 24/7.

The internal air-conditioning system allows the screens to be in constant use in an outward facing window. Internal fans keep the panel and other internal components at the optimum working temperature, ensuring a long and reliable life for your screens.

As well as having AV inputs, these displays also have a built-in HD media player allowing you to run content copied from a USB drive. Load your pictures and videos onto a USB memory stick and insert it into the display: the screen will then start playing them in a continuous loop.

The display has two integrated slimline speakers for applications that involve an audio element.
